The gas waist flowmeter, also known as the "gas Roots flowmeter", is based on the positive displacement measurement principle and is used to accurately measure the gas flow through the closed pipeline. It can be used to measure natural gas, city gas, propane, nitrogen, industrial inert gas and other non-corrosive gases. It is mainly used in commercial settlement of industrial gas, gas metering of transmission and distribution network, gas regulator station, industrial and civil boiler gas metering, and can also be used as a standard flowmeter.
Working principle
Gas Roots flow meter is a positive displacement flow meter, when the gas through the flow time, the pressure difference between the inlet and the outlet, acting on a pair of waist wheels connected with high-precision synchronous gear, thereby driving the waist wheel rotation. During this period, the enclosed space formed between the waist wheel and the inner wall of the housing and the gland, a metering chamber, is periodically inflated and vented. The rotation speed of the waist wheel is proportional to the volume of gas passing through the flow meter, and the rotation of the waist wheel is transmitted to the mechanical counter or the output flow pulse signal through the magnetic coupler, so as to accumulate the volume volume flowing through the measuring chamber to achieve the purpose of measurement.
